Description Sparkles of green shine brightly in this double-sided solid Queensland carbonised matrix sandstone opal from our mine near Quilpie, Australia. This piece has been carbonised (blackened) to bring out the colour of the opal. It is found on the Queensland opal fields in association with pipe opal.
